Leah was elected to the Board of Trustees in the recent election.
My name is Leah Bradley and I am married to Richard. We have two primary school aged children - Harry who is 12 and Emily who is 9 and is a Year 5 student at Barton Rural School.
We have been a part of the Barton community since 2014 and have been involved with many activities over that time including being a committee member of the Home and School.
My first experience of Boards was as a Board Member at Craighead Kindergarten where I held the position of Treasurer. More recent involvement was as the Executive Officer at the Aoraki Foundation. This required attending board meetings and reporting on the day to day running of the organisation as well as having a good understanding of the Governance Framework.
My husband and I have an Engineering business and 12 months ago, I made the decision to focus on the day to day running of our business. It is great to have flexibility and a work life balance which also allows time to be involved in community activities.
I am open minded, forward thinking, organised and approachable. It would be a privilege to be a part of a group of people who work together, with staff and students, with whānau, parents and the wider community, to ensure that Barton Rural School is the best it can be.
