Personal Statement:
Kia ora! Our family have been involved in the Barton School community since our daughter started in 2018. Our two younger children have since started at Barton also.

I grew up on a farm north of Temuka, and now currently reside with my husband Ben and three children on a cropping and dairy grazing farm in Rosewill.   I have a background in Public Health, and on my return from overseas, I worked for the South Canterbury Cancer Society as Health Promoter, Fundraising and Support worker for ten years – leaving in 2016 to focus on family.

I joined the board in June 2019 and was voted Chair in 2020. I have always been passionate about the development of young people, so this is an opportunity to gain some experience in the education sector and be involved in the direction of the school at a governance level. I enjoy working with others with a similar philosophy and it’s a privilege to be able to contribute to the overall achievement and growth of all BRS students and the community.
